Youth Summer Camp 2009 is around the corner and I wanted to inform you of some exiting news about our organizational process.
This year our camp will take place on August 28, 29, & 30 at Forest Home, Lakeview Camp (http://www.foresthome.org search Lakeview). Camp includes 3 full days, and 2 nights. The camp features scenic dining with deluxe villas and cabins surrounding the peaceful and private Lake Mears.
Among many activities we will have a zip-line, on-site skate area, sand volleyball, basketball courts, plus softball, shuffleboard, ping-pong, table-hockey, bumper pool, foosball, horseshoes, miles of hiking trails, climbing wall, fishing, THE BLOB, kayaking, miniature golf, mud bowl, bookstore, Billy Graham Rock, prayer chapel, bonfire, dramas, workshops, and much more!
This year’s theme is “Shine” based on Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven”. Our guest speaker will be Jonathon Martinez. Jonathon is a graduate of The Latin American Bible Institute and is the leading Youth Pastor at his church in Fresno, CA. With high energy, purpose and a touch of humor, Jonathon communicates an uncompromising message.
Leading us in worship will be John Ibarra. John is a member of “Emerge”, a worship band from the San Francisco Area. They released their début album in spring of 2008 titled “Listening”. Members of the Latin American Bible Institute worship band will accompany John, a school of which he is a student.
The camp cost is $175.00 and in order to make your investment in the life you’re your child easier, we have created a payment plan as follows:
- 1st Payment Due May 5th: $35.00 (This serves as a registration payment)
- 2nd Payment Due June 2nd: $35.00
- 3rd Payment Due July 7th: $35.00
- 4th Payment Due August 4th: $35.00
- 5th Payment Due August 25th: $35.00
In closing, I’m praying and believing for God to do great things in the lives of our young people this year’s camp. Make every effort to send your youth! Let’s all work together to get as many students as possible so that God can speak into their lives.
